On the 18th-24 May 2015, CCB research team embarked on a weeklong of tracking with our trusted San trackers to locate cheetah marking trees in the Ghanzi farmlands. The San are renowned for their brilliant tracking capabilities and CCB has been utilising their skills on their tracking escapade for the past years. This has yielded some amazing results where some of these marking trees were used to trap, capture and collar cheetahs for some of our collaborative projects, like the recent one with Royal Veterinary College from London. The team had to deal with the chilly mornings and evenings as winter has already started in Botswana to get the job done. Well done team in completing the first tracking event of 2015!
