The main objective of the course was to train environmentalists from all the sectors who will be able to disseminate Environmental Education/ Education for Sustainable Development in their workplaces and beyond, and to bring together environmental practitioners to network, share ideas and experiences and to advance their presentation skills. Participants were also to become project implementers through Change Projects Initiative where they were expected to propose a project which they will implement in their respective places of work or residence. These projects will be presented at a similar workshop next year (2013) in Botswana before end of December 2012 and some projects will be chosen to be represented at the Environmental Education Association of Southern Africa (EEASA) conference in 2014 at Malawi. There were excursion trips to Cheetah Conservation Botswana (CCB) Ghanzi camp, D'Kar village and Edo's Rhino Camp. CCB Camp Coordinator, Gavin Reynolds did a presentation on Energy Use and Conservation on behalf of CCB and promoted CCB's energy saving practices.
