Since CCB is mandated at establishing coexistence between wildlife and humans, it assists the Department of Wildlife with the running of a conflict mitigation project, supported by World Bank to address human wildlife conflict in Northern Botswana, a region that experiences higher conflict prevalence. CCB conducted capacity building workshops and consultations at 13 settlements in Chobe, Okavango and Boteti. The workshop covered sustainable livestock management practices such as kraaling and the use of livestock guarding dogs and will in 2012 facilitate the building of demonstration kraals and provide assistance with the introduction of livestock guarding dogs.
