For Energy Globe Founder Wolfgang Neumann, his life time mission was to safeguard the future of the planet and the right of future generations everywhere to live healthy and fulfilling lives should be a human right for everyone. The International Energy Globe Awards for Sustainability are one of his visions to open doors and show case the best practices in the world of sustainability and ecological change, organizations and countries to showcase the innovative intellect through sustainable and improvement of livelihoods projects, as well as offering hope that earth will continue being a place worth of living.
This year CCB was proud to win the National Energy Globe Awards for Botswana for 2012, there were national winners in 151 countries selected from over 6000 submissions which were awarded. National winners receive an Energy Globe Certificate highlighting the applicant and project.
The Energy Globe Certificate is an internationally recognized hallmark for sustainability and the goal of the awards is to create the necessary awareness concerning solutions to our environmental problems and to demonstrate that each of us can make a positive contribution. CCB won the Botswana award for our work in capacity building workshops, livelihoods improvement projects and conservation education. This pride and excitement does not only end at CCB but extends to the country of Botswana as a whole for without the nation’s support, we would not be where we are today.
