As we near our kidding season with a few pregnant ewes waiting for delivery, the rest of December 2014 saw an amazing birth of 51 kidlets in total. We have one set of triplets and many sets of twins. The kids are kept safely in the kraal until they are big enough to go out with the rest of the herd. This reduces losses to predators considerable and we practice this and other adaptive farming methods as an example to other farmers of how to farm alongside predators with minimal livestock depredations.
