Serowe Department of Wildlife and National Parks (DWNP) and CCB have come a long way when it comes to training and sensitizing workshops on predator conservation, reducing conflict and livestock losses, as well as livestock management and knowledge of predator species and their behaviour. CCB was invited by Serowe DWNP for a 2 day presentation on assessing and reducing livestock losses, including care of livestock guarding dogs to reduce predator conflict. Farmers and herders came from the villages of Maokatuma, Diloro, Mogapi, Mogapinyana and Kgagodi. It was well attended workshop with about 70 participants and very interactive. From the curiosity of the participants, one could conclude that they were truly willing to join hands with the DWNP and conservation organizations in the fight for conserving wildlife. The workshop was attended by Connie Sebati from CCB.
