CCB was invited for participate at the World Environment Day commemoration in Gaborone at the Grand Palm hotel on the 5th of June 2015. The world’s theme was, Seven Billion Dreams. One Planet. Consume with Care, and it rallies behind the well-being of humanity, the environment, and the functioning of the economy, ultimately depend upon the responsible management of the planet’s natural resources. This year, Botswana opted for a symposium that brought together various stakeholders in the environment fraternity, but eyeing the sectors of environment, tourism, mining, agriculture and energy to discuss sustainable uses of natural resources. CCB’s Operations Manager, Mr. Douglas Thamage honored the invitation with a presentation on behalf of CCB, looking at challenges and measures in place at organizational level to address these environmental issues. CCB Jwaneng office attended the same event at Debswana Jwana Park to celebrate with Debswana Jwaneng Mine workers and their stakeholders to celebrate and forward the message with mine workers and other mines’ stakeholders.
