2016 started off with a bang for our education team with Ms. Keneilwe Mathaba and Mr. Gape Radinaane taking it upon themselves to remind Botswana’s youth about cheetah conservation and environmental education. To make sure that education sticks to one’s mind, it has to be repeatedly told; otherwise it is as good as lost. A total of five primary schools in the greater Gaborone area were visited early in 2016 and(Tloaneng, Gabane, Pule Memorial, Thornhill and Gaborone International Primary) were visited in Gaborone and surrounding areas provided with. Students were engaged in fun- filled presentations, and games and hampers of educational materials. Students were enthusiastic about learning about local predators, the importance of predators in the habitat , with special emphasis on cheetahs and, how they can help promoteion of co-existence between humans and predators
